A Glance at the Denmark Economy
Denmark, one of the most interesting and liveliest countries in the world is full of Scandinavian people.
The population of this country is approximately around 5.6 million and the economy of Denmark is highly dependant on these people as the geography of this country as well as other its lack of natural resources do not contribute too much.
Having said that it lacks in natural resources, this country still has a very strong economy. The proof is that there is not a single family which is below the poverty line. But the standard of living of most of the population is just above average.
The Main Contributors of Denmark Economy:
It is evident that this country has to rely on sources like oil and natural gas, bio-energy to keep its economy intact. However this country is quite capable in the sense that it is highly industrialized and industrial products like machineries, instruments and other spare parts form the main contributors to its economy.
This sector alone contributes thirty five percent of the Denmark economy. Chemical industries, food processing industries and all other industry related machineries form the main industries in this country and the profits generated from the exports of these items are quite hefty and handsome which invariably adds to this country’s economy.
The Services Sector:
There is another important sector that contributes about sixty percent of the total economy of Denmark and it is called as the services sector. The BPO service is the one that gave a big boost to this country’s economy and it is still one of the thriving service sectors in Denmark. In addition to these services, the ones like hotels and healthcare services sector do contribute highly to the economy. Overall, this country seems to be on the verge of developing into a very strong economy but the statistics aren’t much supportive.
