Top banks with bigger profits
There are top banks showing bigger profits in Japan. This is as on July 30, 2010 Tokyo (AP) that the two banks in Japan that is on the top list is Mitsubishi UFJ and Mizuho. Their quarterly profits have jumped even in times of such recession.
Mitsubishi UFJ is the Japan's largest bank, stated that its net profit has doubled over to 166.3 billion yen ($1.9 billion) in the period of April to June from the last years 75.9 billion yen. Mizuho Financial Group is No.2 lender in Japan showing a net profit of 149.85 billion yen ($1.7 billion) and this is after undergoing a loss of 4.49 billion yen earlier year.
The two companies have retained their earnings projections for this financial year March 2010. Mitsubishi UFJ is expecting 400 billion yen ($4.6 billion) as net profit and Mizuho 430 billion yen ($4.9 billion) as profit.
